pensando en ti

The upcoming Study Abroad photo contest has prompted me to look through my favorite photos I took while in Argentina.  From the expansive city scape of Buenos Aires, to the air of the Calafate glaciers, Argentina is a beautiful country and with an ever changing landscape depending on proximity to the Andes.  Here's a few of my favorites that I want to share, any advice for the photo contest is welcome as well!

Beauty

Here is a very interesting TED video about the Darwinian evolution of beauty. Darwinian Beauty
In honor of this video, I wanted to post a few photos DJ and I took at the orchid house at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. It is truly amazing that this kind of magic happens in nature.

Transitions

These past few weeks, I've been aware of the shift taking place in nature.  What the autumn season does to the human sensory experience is pretty wondrous.  This ephemeral shift from the warm green of summer to the vibrant colors of red, orange, yellow is such a naturally yearly transition.  It reminds us all that there is room to change and grow, that no one is static and unchanging.

The New Look

Hey all,
A little explanation of the new blog.  Yes, this is still my Argentina travel blog, but I've decided to start updating it with the natural beauty of day-to-day life.  For whoever still stumbles upon this (likely just allie and deej), I find myself needing to reflect on the little things to put life in perspective.  Here are a few photos I took in Montana this summer.  While towering mountains with glacier peaks surrounded us, I spent most of our hikes hunched over trying to capture the tiniest remnants of nature's magic. nature. Enjoy.
